Altered Books
There are many ways to define "altered book". Since it is an art form, there is no right or wrong.

My vision of altered books is to re-purpose old books that might otherwise be discarded.
I think of it as
Artistic Recycling.
I love using Found Objects in my art. Ticket stubs, bottle caps, old postcards, pop tabs, postage stamps, basically anything I can glue down.

This book was a used childrens board book. I used paint, paper scraps, old games pieces, vintage postage and some favorite quotes to complete this spread in a book I titled Words to live by.
